Best Ammo

As of yesterday I am now the proud owner of a Colt Python 4 inch blued
357 in magnum Revolver born in 1978. There is no doubt that this
is one of the finest made revolvers out there and the trigger is the most amazing one I've ever pulled. As for accuracy, the answer is the same ditto.
My question is to all Python owners, which brand ammo do you use for SD in your 4 or 6 inch Revolver & also what grain?
I assume I'll get answers in 357 in magnum ammo and 38 special P or P+.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I’ve had good luck with federal hst 130 grain short barrel .38 special and would carry this if I didn’t make my own.

I have shot thousands of rounds through pythons. I really have yet to find a round that was inaccurate. I mostly use lead reloads of 38 special and fmj factory stuff. I shoot the lead 25 rounds. Drop a fmj and it cleans the lead out. Done it for 45,000 rounds and it’s working fine, accuracy is as good as I can hold it.
