Best AMMO for PHOTOS (Handgun only)

I'm prepping for a new round of photos of my guns and would like to step it up a notch in the ammo dept. Instead of plain jane ammo, I'd like to use something 'nice' looking.

Here're my thoughts so far; I'd appreciate any suggestions on ammo you've used in the past for a photo shoot.

9mm
-----
Hornady Critical Defense (hollowpoint with red flex tip)

.45ACP
-------
Remington Golden Saber

22LR
-----
CCI Mini Mags

500 S&W
---------
Hornady XTP (not really that fancy, but the choices here are fewer in #)

What other 9mm & 45 ammo have you used for a photo that you felt really added something?

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean in the gun? Scattered around it? Fired out of it in flight?
Have a few loose rounds laying next to it?

It might also depend on the finish of the gun getting a good contrast.

Not so much scattered around as laid out in ammo capacity style...

Below was my original photo. The newer one I'd like to do would have better lighting and fancier bullets.

/\---- Again, this is the OLD one that I want to update with better ammo and lighting. I'd probably do a few individual gun photos as well.

I like the look of the gold dot but..

I really think some of the FMJ can be nice if you work with the light a bit and photoshop the shadows etc,..
Here is one I only had a crappy camera and like 3 bullets, but I photoshop'd it to death

I like the look of the Hornady TAP.

I was also checking out the Winchester SXZ at Bass Pro Shops which has a black coating on the bullet. Looked kind of neat but in photos it may look plasticy. Not sure.

I also like the Barnes copper bullets. They have a wicked looking hollow point in the larger calibers.

Try some Blue Dot powder in either .30 Carbine out of a Blackhawk, or in 10mm out of a Glock 29, just after the sun falls. You'll need a quick finger on the camera, but the big flame ball should make a killer photo.

Not that I mind much as I enjoy all the photos, but a lot of you are missing my intent. Scroll back on up to the 5 gun photo with ammo underneath each gun. I'm just looking to redo that with nicer looking ammo. -- No live fire rounds caught mid-flight (good luck with that!), no spent ammo/expanded rounds, etc.

How about the spent stuff? Nothing looks as good as Federal's HST.

Except for the perfection of Speer Gold Dots:

Lame as it sounds, I included Speers in my self-ammo test based solely on their pretty case and the way they look loaded in a magazine. They just look the most appealing to me, and thankfully they performed best in my little self test.

There is nothing like a pinfire cartridge on the floor to make a person nervous, except for a rattlesnake on the floor...

Looks like I have been beat to the puch. For unfired rounds, I like the looks of the TAP FPD for photography. For expansion pics, Federal HST all the way! Still can't wait to get my hands on some of those.
