Best 9mm bullet for a 1:16 twist??

Hi everyone,

I have decided to install a bar sto match barrel in my 5" 9mm tactical XD. This gun is only going to be used for USPSA production.

My question is: is there a preffered bullet weight using a 1:16 twist out of a 5" barrel. Mind you, the loads that I need have to make minor power factor. This means:
125gr bullet has to move at 1000fps
147gr bullet has to move at 855fps

Since I have a boat load of each weight of bullet, those are the weights I would like to stick with.

Thanks!!

There is no way to predict. A 16" twist is ample for the heaviest bullets you can get in a 9mm (S&W brought out the .38 Special with a 18.75" twist for 158 grain bullets at black powder velocities.)

There might be some difference in accuracy from a rest.

You might prefer the recoil characteristics of one or the other. I like 147s for their soft felt recoil but some people like a little snap to the action with lighter bullets at higher velocity.
