My dad and i are going hog hunting in May and he is using a .44 mag and would like to know what everyone else has had the best luck with as far as accuracy and potency. thanks derek

Speer 270 grain Gold Dot Soft Point. Good for tough skinned critters like hogs, and not loaded over pressure like some other stuff. It shoots great in my cowboy guns, too.

Randy Garrett makes great ammo, Hornady's 300g XTP is good, and my stuff's not bad, either.

Check out our web site for information about our 44 Magnum ammo. In brief, we offer a 310-grain SUPER-HARD-CAST bullet with a blunt .320-inch meplat at 1325-fps for use in S&Ws, Anacondas, and Super Blackhawks. We also offer a 330-grainer at 1385-fps for exclusive use in Super Redhawks and Redhawks. Either load will shoot lengthwise through the heaviest feral hog or Russian boar, and deliver quick incapacitation-effect. As to accuracy, either load will group 5-shots into about 1-inch at 50-yds from accurate revolvers.

Best regards, Randy Garrett www.garrettcartridges.com
