Best 12 Gauge Coyote Loads?

Full-choke

So I am wanting to use my Franchi 12 gauge to dust some coyote tail. What is the best load to use? I have some left over slugs from deer season that I know will do good, but what would work in the way of shot? The gun goes up to 3" mags so no Super Mag loads or anything...

Thanks,

#2 to BB is fine but I would prefer #4buck. Any of these in a high brass to mini-mag 3 inch would suffice for close in shots. if the yotes are real stupid where you are at it will work. Where I am at it is unlikely to get one close enuff to use shot shells.

I have a nice steel shot approved full that I was planning on using. Everyone seems to be saying No 4 Buck Shot, so I think I will have to give her a try.

#4 buck shot is the most common load used for coyote hunting. Mainly used for those few close range shots when calling them in. For the shotgun guys that want extra range, you could always try out the "Dead Coyote" loads, which are effective out to ~70yds.

what is largest shot allowed by your local fish and game regulations? here in nj you can use no larger than a 10 gauge shot gun and no smaller than a 12 gauge . loaded with shot no larger than T and no more than 3 shells in the shotgun. we can hunt here during the daytime with bow and arrow, muzzeloading rifle or shotgun and regular shotgun. except overnight hunting which you can only use a shotgun with a permit. you can also hunt fox.

HeviShot makes the Dead Coyote loads, if you feel like spending $3.50 a pop!

Seriously, any good load with #2 or larger shot will kill them out to 50-60 yards.
