Bersa Thunder 9mm & 40 cal

I could not follow through to the US importer.
I always thought the Thunder 9 was a good looking gun, kind of a South American Nazi refugee knockoff of a Walther P88, but I have never seen but one in a store here and don't know who bought it or how well it shoots.

Ruger95

we bought a Bursa thunder for my wifes CCW, about 2 1/2 years ago.
Since then we have put about 3500
rounds through it and are very satisfied with the gun. The only FTF-FTE were my home cause from my home rolled ammo. It will take +P+ ammo and I have not found a defence round it would not cycle reliably. If you have any ? in paticular Email me.

I have a Bersa Thunder9. It is more reliable than the Walther p88 from which it is copied from. This is probably due mainly to its more looser fit. (The P88 it very tight.) It does not shoot as accurately as the P88 but does well enough. No failures yet from ~1000 rounds. (Actually haven't shot it for awhile due to other guns in the stable.) Certainly, it is nowhere near the quality in fit and finish of the Walther but for a gun at 1/3 the price I didn't expect it to be.

Since you cannot get hi-cap mags for the Thunder9 nowadays, you might want to consider the FireStorm Mini9. It is (IMObservation) made by Bersa and is essentially a compact version of the Thunder9 (with finger groves). The one I shoot with is as accurate and reliable as the Thunder9.

I don't have either of the weapons you mention but I do have the Thunder .380 and I am VERY pleased with it...bought it for the wife initially but she seems to like bigger calibers (.45) so I shoot it most of the time and it is extremely accurate and feeds anything I put in it...
Tony.
