Bersa Thunder 380 minor malfuctions

My Bersa will fire properly and seems to work mechanically until I run the magazine dry. The slide locks back, but not at all securely. Inserting a magazine almost always drops the slide, and so does giving the gun a mild shake. Even a gentle tap on any part of the gun seems to disengage the slide stop. Is it possible to replace parts to correct this? I've seen a handful of people online saying that inserting a magazine occasionally closes the slide, which seems like a non-issue. The fact that I effectively can't lock the slide securely does concern me, because the gun is not able to be left with the action open. Setting it down on the bench is enough to close it. Thoughts? I'm not the original owner, so I don't know how warranty work Is handled or if there is a transferable warranty.

Have you examined the notch in the slide where the slide stop engages for wear?

One of the reasons I traded an early Bersa Thunder .380 was with fewer than 100 rounds through the pistol there was noticeable peening of the notch. Which may mean the slide stop isn't engaging as well as it should.
