Bersa 22

Planning to buy a bersa 22 for plinking. Would appreciate all comments and experiences particularly on durabilty, accuracy and kind of ammmo that is reliable using it. Also how much does the bersa 22 cost on the averaged(b-new)? Is the phoenix HP 22 better?

I own a Bersa Thunder in 380 cal and doesnt have a single problem since I bought it (4 mos). I take it to the range every month using, I know you wont have any problem looking for this, Armscor FMJ ammo.

Yesterday I fired a friend's brand new Bersa Thunder 22 (nickle finish). The trigger was superb, both double action and single action. No malfunctions in about 100 rounds.

We were unable to get what I call acceptable accuracy, only 2.5 to 3.0 inches at 15 yards. Maybe experimenting with different brands of ammunition will help somewhat.

If we have any improvements in accuracy with other ammo, I will let you know.

I think this gun is being discontinued. It doesn't seem to be in stock at any of the major distributors that we checked. He had to buy it at a local dealer and paid about $170 I think.
