Berretta 3901 For 3-Gun?

I want an auto-loader shotgun so bad. I'd really like a 20ga for even less recoil but all I've shot shotgun wise a Moss 500 pistol grip and an old side by side montgomery wards. Both 12ga.

Would a Beretta 3901 12ga with 28" be ok for 3-gun? Could it be modified for 3-gun?

I was thinking bout going with a Saiga 12 unconverted but here in Cali those run $700-800.

I was also thinking selling my moss 500 and montgomery wards 12ga and getting an Auto Loader for 3-gun, home defense, and skeet/trap.

Not sure theres one gun to fill all categories.

I did come across a JP 11-87 but seller wants $975.

No, the 3901 would not be a good 3 gun shotgun for one reason. You cannot put a mag tube extension on it due the the gas piston design. The constant reloading would kill your time and scores. The Extrema is the only Beretta semi auto that can accept a mag tube extension.

They are excellent guns for the traditional shotgun games and hunting.

the 3901 can be used for all the clay shooting games. Just change choke constrictions. Absolute BEST autoloader for the money...
