Bergara B-14R Carbon

About 6-8 months ago I ordered a Bergara B-14R Carbon, a carbon wrapped threaded barreled 22LR, with a fiberglass stock, with an adjustable check riser. It was back ordered again and again, I basically given up on it, Friday the LGS, called and asked if I was still interested, I said yes, they said come and get it.

It weighs roughly 8#, has an 18” barrel, and has inserts for the LOP. I got it home, ordered a Talley scope rail and ordered a spare 10 shot mag. The scope rail arrived today, I got my set of UTG open/iron sights, installed. Tonight I hope to go to the range and give it a test run. I hoping this will be my league rifle for my bullseye league.

You say it weighs roughly 8 pounds?? That sure is a boat anchor!! Really nice looking plinker. I have heard many, many good things about Bergara rifles and barrels. I think you will be in great shape with that thing.

I used the 2 sights in the pictures below

The rear is the UTG M1 style rear peep sight that attached directly to the newly installed scope rail

The front sight is the UTG Mossberg/Benelli tactical shotgun front sight that clamps directly on the barrel

My CVA paramount has the same style composite stock and is also bergara made--it is dead nuts the most accurate muzzle-loader out there IMO. :DCan't wait to see your results. Irons are fun--but to get down to tiny group business I'd suggest a quality scope to match.;)
 
I understand and respect other people preferences, but I have no desire to group, no interest at all, I’m a bullseye shooter, none of my 60+ rifles have a scope.

I’ve taken the B14R to the range about 6 times, it is fabulous. I used for the first time yesterday, as my primary league rifle, I shot a 5 target average of 98.2, I’m thrilled.
