Beretta TX4 Tactical / HD model?

LH2

I don't see a lot of reviews on this particular model. I do know that Beretta semiautos have a reputation of being reliable and soft-recoiling.

Does anybody have experience with the TX4?

I've narrowed it down to this one, the Benelli M2 and the Remington 11-87P.

Thanks for any Beretta shotgun feedback!

What did you end up getting LH2?

I don't think many of the TX4 Storms made it to the States and demand seemed to not encourage additional imports from Beretta and methinks it has since been discontinued.

No matter, I recently got my hands on one and am looking forward to seeing how she runs.

Always liked the look of the Beretta. But in reality I would probably go Benelli over Beretta for some reason I don't know yet.

My Long story is I came inches Away from buying an awesomely brand new Nd sexay silky smoove M2 Tactical. I had finally decided to apply fot my firearms ID purchaser card and pistol permit here in NJ ( as a cops son I believe I have been shooting since I was about 5 but always used family and friends firearms never bought my own ). S when I applied I had started saving my money. And I also did my taxes straight away in Jan 2010 so I had saved several pay checks , my tax refund, and Christmas Bonus for my initial firearms purchases. When I went into the LGS and asked for a Mossberg 930 SPX ( as they were burning up the internet in early 2010 EVERYNE wanted them) , I was told they were illegal in NJ but they had this Benelli to look at. Oh by the way that Mossberg is a " piece of s*+^" ( I'll never forget the way this like 21 year old kid actually curses at me , calling the shotgun of the year a POS) and this Benelli M2 Tactical is MUCH MUCH BETTER. OH Btw its $1300. The Pos Mossberg is going for $600 full pop. Lol.

Well i admit fully, the Benelli was silky smoove sexay bro. I mean amazing. Felt great in the hands , looked better. And I probably woud have bought it. But the kid is like look its past 5pm, NICS closes at 6 on a Saturday here, so we need to have the paperwork done and called in no later than 530pm if you want it before Monday afternoon. So you have 10 mins to decide.

And you know , I walked in to look at a Mossberg or maybe a 22 rifle , not a 1300 shotgun I have ten minutes to decide on so I bounced. The next day I found a M930SPX at the Dick's Sporting Goods Across the river in PA and they sold it to me, and I found out later I had to change the magazine.

Much much happier being the only guy in Jersey with a M930SPX and its an amazing shotgun tough as nails and grate at $600 not $1300. I am going to get my Benelli fix wth a Supernova tactical. The M2 is crazy expensive, and they refuse to make a ComfortTech version of the M3 ( NJ allows no autoloader with a pistol grip) or M4.

I still have my 870P and never did purchase a semiauto. When I do, it'll probably be a FN SLP.

Fun story about your Mossberg tAKticool! :)

LH2, I hear the FN SLP is an excellent shotgun as well - something I hope to try out soon.

Haven't had a chance to shoot my TX4 yet but am definitely looking forward to it. Sure like the weight and way it holds. Heard back from BUSA Customer Service that it has indeed been officially discontinued.

Goodbye TX4 Storm, we hardly knew thee.

LOL Thanks you should see me when I post the LONG VERSION of that story lol. Pages of text but I have a way of making it interesting lololol :)

Anyway the M930SPX is an amazing shotgun, as are almost all Benelli products but they're so expensive. Beretta looks like it's a great product it's just I don't see me going with Beretta over Benelli. I may or may not have posted this, see the M2 Tactical comes in both regular stock and pistol grip stock versions, which is nice because NJ allows NO PISTOL GRIP at all on a shotgun that autoloads, no PG-stocked semis. Pumps can do whatever you want. (Same like, autoloading mag capacity can't exceed 6, on a pump it can be 15 like anything in NJ can be 15, no more. In effect there is NO regulation on the pumps, so it defaults to the overall mag limits on firearms which is 15).

Benelli won't offer the M3 convertible or the M4 in a ComfortTech stock or even what they do sometimes, the comforttech without the comfortech, just a convetional looking stock with no ComfortTech technology. They refuse to do it. When I had money I offered to order one from them and have THEM decide if they wanted to sell me an M3 or M4, put a ComfortTech stock on it, and THEY could decide how much extra they'd charge me (When it should actually be CHEAPER for the ComfortTech than the bigger PG-stock.) No they couldn't do it. I said, Oh you definitely CAN DO IT, easily, you just WON'T DO IT.

So to experience the Benelli shotgun family and be tactical (I have no desire for a Benelli hunting shotgun, although I am sure they are the best ) I either spend $1300+ for the M2 Tactical or go Supernova Tactical. ... Now that is a great pump shotgun, 2 3/4", 3", 3 1/2" chambers, choice of sights (I'll take the LPA Ghost Rings which are upgradeable to tritium if you desire) and you could seek out a larger barrel for general usage.

Mossberg also has so many awesome pumps, I just desire a M590A1 for its sheer steely parkerizes finish sexyness. Just imagine blasting zombies or invading foreign troops/terrorists/etc. with one.
