Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam announced Wednesday morning that Beretta would be building a new state of the art manufacturing and R&D facility in Gallatin. The plant will create about 300 jobs and construction should be complete by year's end. Here is the full story.

Welcome to Tennessee!

Read that today myself. I was hoping they would come to Clarksville, with it's proximity to Fort Campbell, But 300 jobs in Gallatin is good enough. Good for Tennessee and good for Baretta

Great news!

Now, if we could just get some manufacturers to locate in E. TN.

Congratulations to the folks around Gallatin!

The politicians in the NE just don't have the brains to understand this ! And it's not just the gun industry that this happens to.

Great news. Jobs for a gun-friendly state and a brand new facility for me to buy more Berettas. :)

I wonder if that's where they're going to build the ARX-100.

Re this Beretta move, an important message will, one hopes, be delivered. That message is as follows:

Legislative Stupidity Has Consequences. The actions of the legislative and governmental apparatus of Maryland, some other states too, is plainly illustrative of Legislative Stupidity.

The politicians in the NE just don't have the brains to understand this
They understand it. They just don't care about the loss of revenue & jobs as long as the agenda required by "the voices" is being followed regardless of consequence.:(

I didn't think that Maryland and California, throw in D.C. too were "in the NE".

I think that he is right in-so-far as, "they don't care about loss of revenue and jobs".. so long as it isn't their "jobs" that are lost.

This is NOT a criticism of wogpotter, it's simply an observation, my take on the thing.

You're right they aren't. But the mindset is very prevalent in the N.E. Beretta may be leaving MD, but the NN/NJ Conn. mindset really is a popular North East thing.
