I see from a search that some of you own the Beretta Teknys.
Just wondering how Beretta are handling the recall in the US?

The steel/finish on the action is 'bubbling' - looks real bad.
They're not handling the recall too well either - not sure if you're familiar with Irish law but it's hard to get multiple licenses so I have ony one shotgun - Beretta are NOT replacing the gun but are just replacing the action - so the gun has to go back to Italy
it's going to take 3 weeks to get an export license and another 3 weeks to get an import license - then add the time it will be in Beretta for repair
I rang the distributors here and they said they've already argued the case with Beretta but they were just told more or less to piss off and live with it
There meeting with them again this week though.
If I was you I'd hold off buying one for a while.

It is a worldwide recall.
Well that attitude should further their reputation.
Here in the US the word was that if you needed parts or repairs for Beretta autos send the gun to Cole Gunsmithing, they have the parts and provide excellent service.

I have to brag here, but my Experience with Krieghoff was totally the opposite. My gun was new and I had a problem with damage to a choke tube. I also scratched the barrel trying to get the tube out.
Krieghoff asked me to send the barrel and bad tube to them. I sent it on tuesday and got the barrel back the very next tuesday with a new tube, and the scratch removed and reblued. They checked to see the barrel was not damaged and apologized for taking so long but they only do bluing on fridays or I would have had it back sooner!!!
That is service IMHO.

I tried to ask Beretta (via their website) if what you were saying about the time to get the recall serviced is true.
Their website doesn't seem to be taking questions right now.....
