I took my NIB Stampede to the range for the first time today. At 30 yards it is more accurate than my Vaquero at 25 yards. It is easier to use, and I enjoyed my time shooting it as oppossed to the frustration I felt shooting my Vaquero.
The Stampede is easier to load...open loading gate, click, drop in shell, turn cylinder, click, drop in shell, turn cylinder, click, drop in shell...never misses, unlike the Vaquero.
The Stampede is easier to unload...open loading gate, turn barrel up, turn cylinder, click, shell drops, click, shell drops, click, shell drops, click, shell doesn't drop, easy to use cresent shaped ejector rod.
With the Vaquero, just lining up the cylinder is a problem because if you hear, click, you've gone too far, and you will need to go all the way around again to eject the shell. If the shell doesn't drop, the ejector rod is round, narrow, and not as easy to use as the Stampede.
When it comes to the Vaquero some tell me, I must learn the gun! Why, when I have a Stampede...
The New Vaquero is supposed to eliminate the problems. I'll trade for one...
