Beretta Silver Pigeon PUMP

I just inherited one of these seldom seen firearms from my dad.

Considering it's a 50 year old gun, it's in pristine shape.

Sounds like it'll do alright for a trap gun until I save enough $$ for something better suited to busting clays. I'm going to pattern it and wring it out tonight.

I've run across a couple of these over the decades. IMO, a fine shotgun that just didn't sell well.

I did shoot one a bit, pointed like an 870.

HTH.....

As luck would have it...

Shot well on my first two rounds and then 2 shots into the 3rd round....CLICK.....CLICK....

The shell was engaging and the safety was in fact off, but the trigger would not click.

Short story - trip to the gunnysmith to troubleshoot. Photos coming.

Up to that point, I ran 12 straight. The gun shoots flat but I was able to adjust.
