Beretta Series 81, Model 83

I recently purchased a vintage Beretta 83, and I have found very little information on the model. I would guess that it had a very specific European market.
If anyone can provide to me a source(s) or any info on the model 83, it would be appreciated!

I believe you’re correct about it not being imported into the USA. All the Cheetah’s are great lookin’ & shootin’ pistols-all I know is the 83’s is its a 7+1 single stack with a 4” barrel.
I have a Model 81 in 32auto 12+1 double stack that’s a sweet one too

The 83 was a model not exported to the U.S. Was basically a single stack, 7+1, 4" barrel model similar to a model 85. Can't find why it was just slightly different. Nice find as it is not common. Post pics?

I have an 81 & 84 and really enjoy these guns, obviously, the single stack will be a little thinner but almost the same size as the others.
