Beretta Question

I know some models of the 92/96 have been updated and strengthened in the locking blocks and/or slide. Could ya'll tell me which ones have been updated and in what ways. Also, to what extent do they share parts compatibility with the earlier models. Thanks.

I think anything you get new at this point will have the redesigned locking block (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

As for the slide, the Brigadier/Elites have bigger, beefier ones than the standard 92s. I'd be somewhat shocked if one of those ever cracked in normal use.

all brigadier models have the beefier slide which increases its durability but the standard slide is durable enough (the main reason for the brigadier slide is for the dovetailed front sight). the newer redesigned locking block (not really all that new) comes on all berettas that were made in the past few years.
