Beretta px4 type C

I'm looking at getting the type c px4. This is the model with out the de-cocker or safety lever and it's allegedly SAO. Does any one have experience with this 9mm? How heavy is the trigger and could it be carried in the waist band? Thanks.

I don't have one, but my understanding is that the C version starts at a half-cock position, so the pull is intermediate in both length and weight between the SA and DA modes of the more conventionally operated Berettas.

If by asking whether you can carry it in your waistband you are asking whether it is OK to carry it without a holster, I personally wouldn't. If you are asking about weight and size, the weight is moderate, and the most common complaint about the size of the PX4 models is the protruding safety levers. Without those, it is similar to others of the same capacity.

TailGator is correct. The "C" stands for "constant action". You can read about it on the Beretta Blog:

Despite the picture used at the top of the blog post, I'm pretty sure the C and D models do not have these levers. The more common Type F (DA/SA) has them. Luckily, they can be swapped out with low-profile levers that fit close to flush. In my experience, they make a big difference in perceived width. Just note that installing them converts the Type F into a Type G, which is "decocker only".

Here is a link to the kit on Beretta's website:

Here is a link to their new "Compact Carry" model which includes this and a few other upgrades, so you can see what they look like installed:

Trigger pull probably around a 11 lb pull and you lookin to carry it "gangster style" in da waist band??

I don't open carry so yes in a in the waist band holster. No ganster style here. The trigger on this one feels like a smooth 7 pounder maybe.
