Beretta Pintail- Info/experiences?

I'm looking at a Beretta Pintail 100, synthetic 12GA, with 2 barrels, a slug and smoothbore with chokes. Can anybody give me info on this shotgun, experiences? Was there a standard LOP on it? This one is in very good condition. What would one consider a good value on it? Thanks.

I have the very gun you are looking at.

For some reason I can't seem to own enough shotguns, and I buy guns I don't need.

I purchased my gun at the local Friends Of The NRA event a few years ago. Mine has the NRA logo on the lower receiver. I think I paid $550 for mine, but they listed much higher. I'm thinking around $900 in new condition.

Mine came with a 28" Mobile Choke vent rib bbl, and a 24" fully rifled bbl with adjustable rifle sights. 3 choke tubes, a forearm for each barrel, tube wrench, paperwork and lock in a big blue Beretta box. I think the LOP is 14" but I will measure it for you if you wish.

I have about 50 rounds through the gun with zero problems. However...I have a few friends that like to shoot sporting clays...but won't buy their own guns. This Beretta is often the gun I let the moochers shoot, and they have a few hundred rounds thru it with no problems. I know for a fact that this gun has shot Federal Value Pack ammo, Winchester AA's, Remington STS, Estate Ammo and Rio Top Trap loads....along with my 1 3/8 oz. "crow loads".

No problems or malfunctions of any kind.

The ES100 Pintail is a recoil operated gun and it does "kick" a little more than a gas gun. The synthetic version is worse due to being light weight. It still kicks less than a pump gun or single shot.

I think the only reason Beretta dropped the Pintail was to take pressure off of Benelli which Beretta owns. Beretta now makes gas guns, and Benelli sticks mostly to recoil operated guns.

If the gun you are looking at comes with everything I mentioned...and it's REAL NICE...I would go $500 to $700 for it depending on how it feels in your hands.
