beretta or browning?

I need a new semi-auto shotgun and narrowed it down to the browning micro (I'm a stubby armed chick) or beretta 391. I was looking hard at the benelli's but want a softer shooting gun. It will mainly be used with buckshot for deer but want other options too. I would like to mount a red dot scope on it also. I always have to get my guns cut down to fit me so I figured since I'm getting a new one, and not a bargin basement model I could get it to fit me right off the bat.

Any advise?

I'm not familiar with the Browning model you mention. My petite wife shoots the Browning micro lightning 20g O/U. I had her try the fit of a 391 women/youth 20g but she thought she would do better with the O/U.
between the Browning and the Beretta I would have to say personal preference would tip the scale since there is no big advantage of one over the other.

It's your call. The 391 may be slightly more durable, but I doubt the differences will be obvious for 50 years or so with light use.

Remington's 1100 Special Field may also be an option you'll like.

Finally, Wenig's makes a Ladies' model stock for most modern guns. It has a short length, toe out, and a M/C comb that doesn't whack face.

Add a good pad like the Decellerator for a soft shooter.

HTH...
