Anyone here pick up on the Beretta Md. 35's that SOG has this month. Suppose to be unissued Romanian military contract pistols in .380 manufactured in 1941.
If you picked one up what are your thoughts? I'm itching to get one to go with my Romanian Ak and Sk, Also it's a Beretta.
What's the thoughts on the Md 35 in general? :)

I have yet to see a Romanian version but used to have a Itialian army issue one. It was a very well made quality gun with a nice rust blue finish. A good shooter and very easy to shoot due to a all steel construction. After the war Baretta made the same exact gun but with a alluminum frame and in .22 into the 70s. Quality seems to be on par with a prewar Walther PP or PPK. The one I had was made in 1942 and finished like a commercial gun.

Beretta 35

Thanks for the heads up radom.
This should be identical to the Italian version except the slide is marked 9mm Scurt instead of 9mm Corto.
I like Berettas and just thought this might make a worthwhile addition to my collection ;)

Somebody report in on them. QUICK!!! I've got a postwar 35 ( 1952 proofed ) in 7.65 ( the 34 is the 380 ) and I want a pair in 380 to back up my 12 round cz83s. The 34/35 feels so right in my smaller hands.

I just got mine delivered this morning (with one extra mag) and haven't had it out to the range yet. It is definetly not unissued. I would rate as excellent with bluing around 95%. The frame and slide have matching numbers. The safety doubles as a slide lock and must be engaged to eject the magazine (which is tight). Sights are very short and with my eyes just about useless (looks like I will be point shooting with it  ). It is about 1" shorter than my MAK which makes it a nice size for CCW. It will probably be Saturday before I get out to the range. I'll post a report after the session.

1934 Beretta .380

I'm eagerly awaiting one from SOG. I've had a 1935 .32 for a year after wanting to own any of the variations for a long time. The proportions are unlike any other handgun, the length of barrel and cutout frame is relatively short, the height of grip frame is relatively compact but fills the hand nicely. It is neither light nor heavy but it feels solid as a rock. There is a romantic appeal to the design I cannot adequately describe but I'll try.

Sometimes a gun is just sexy. This gun has curves where others have edges. The perky front sight post, the generous barrel cutout, the roundness of the trigger guard, the backward sweep of the backstrap, the upward curl of the magazine extension. Ooh, it's time to caress the .32 and think about the .380!

Humph, now where did my woman go? I think she's jealous. Oh,well, a woman is a sometime thing, a handgun is forever.
