Beretta mags?

Will my Beretta model 92 mags (9mm) work in the Beretta model 96 (.40)? I loaded a 92 mag with .40 rounds and they fit, but will it function?

MVD,
Do Not futz around with your
mags. You have one of the most
reliable guns in the world .
But it won't be if you tamper
with the mags .Use the right mags,
and don't gamble on them .

Places like Cheaper Than Dirt sell aftermarket Beretta mags for about $12. They may still have some pre-ban high caps as well.

I have a 96 Brigadier, and the 9mm mags work, but will not hold but 8 rds. I never fired it will a 92 mag, just actioned it, so I wouldn't know for sure if they would work right. Just get the 96 mags, they work for sure. Will using 92 mad void the warrenty... Oh yea, I know where you can get a 30 round mag for that 92! :D They only wanted 35 bucks though, and you get what you pay for....

I like my gun, but I still can't hit the broad side of a barn with it! What kind of groups are you getting at the range?
