Beretta M9

I have a full size M9A1, but I don't carry it every day due to climate and dress. When I wear a suit it's easy to carry the A1. I have a slim/athletic build, and I've found what conceals best for me is a small of the back holster.

It's hard to find holsters for the A1 & A3 models, however CraftHolsters has a great selection.

I have the Small of Back: http://www.craftholsters.com/small-of-back-leather-belt-holster-falco

And side with cant: http://www.craftholsters.com/open-top-leather-belt-holster-falco

Both are excellent quality. Nice mod on your M9! :)

I do, however I've trained accordingly. There is nothing wrong with this, however in my opinion it's not a good idea to mix types. If you carry with a safety all your carry guns should have similar controls.

Do you plan to carry with the safety on, as shown?

I can see no reason to do that?

Carrying with the safety on and sweeping it off on the draw means never being surprised to find it engaged when you weren't expecting it.

I was at an Action Pistol meet (similar to IDPA but without all the reload rules,
capacity rules, etc.) and a fella who said he was Army trained continually on reloads or when he had to holster his 92 would drop the hammer and leave it on safety.

Then in engaging the next target or set of targets he'd draw, hit the safety and fire DA for first shot. He was really good at hitting the targets and fast.
