Beretta Inox Finish

I like the look of the Inox finish but am not familiar with it's
wear/durability and it's pros/cons .
A search through this forum didn't return anything regarding this issue.
So what do you guys/gals think of this type finish?
I'm not asking about aesthetics.. to each his own.

I have a 92FS INOX too. The finish seems to be very durable. I have holstered and unholstered this gun many times with no signs of holsterwear. Since the finish is more of a matt/flat stainless, it seems to be very scratch resistant. I highly recommend the INOX. Plus it looks cool too!

I don't think its so much of a "finish" as a type of stainless steel.

Its not sprayed or plated on -- its just the composition of the metal used.

Very durable.

The Inox Berettas are finely bead-blasted stainless steel. It is very wear-resistant, and it can be "freshened up" pretty easily.

It is simply bead blasted ordinance grade stainless steel. I think I read somewhere that Inox is some kind of Itallion abbreviation for staineless steel.

Wish I had an Inox Jetfire. My little blued Jetfire does have a tendancy to rust.

Inox is the abbreviation for inoxidable= Inossidabile.
It means that it will not oxidate or rust
Or it should not rust :)

My original concern w/ the Inox 92's was in the frame. A friend of mine had an Inox 92 and the frame turned a hue of yellow w/in a couple of years. I later learned that was 2 years of daily carry, weekly range shooting and minimal cleaning. I have had mine for several years and the finish is fine on the slide and the frame.
