Beretta Golden Snipe?

I was just given a shotgun, and all it says is Golden Snipe. Unfortunately I don't know a great deal about shotguns, so any information that anyone could offer about this gun would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

here is a little info

I know that the the silver and gold snipes were being sold by Beretta in the late 60's. Two of my brothers got them as birthday gifts back in 1966. I think that the golden snipe was a grade up from the silver. I see them every now and then on gunsamerica in the $700 plus range

Very light and well made gun.

Charlie pretty much got it. They were made from 1955-1967. If it is a 20 ga or 28 ga it is worth 10-25% more.

I remember seeing the "Snipes" in Stoger catalogs. I thought they were works of art and the prices as I remember were not bad at all for the times. A buddy of mine got a Silver snipe and it sure was a nice shotgun.
