Beretta Elite

My son has one, a 96G in .40S&W. It's an excellent handgun designed for competitions like IPSC/IDPA but is also used by military and police all over the world. They can be pricey--around $600 when new. If you can get it for around $500 you might have a good buy depending on condition.
There is the Elite I and Elite II. There is also going to be an Elite designed on the Vertec frame.
Good guns. Suppose to be more accurate than the basic Beretta.
I like the more contoured frame of the Elite II. The frame has been rounded here and there to slim it up.
The grips on both work better than the standard Beretta grips to me. The front and back straps have been textured to provide a better grip.
I could do without the black on black Novaks of the Elite II.
Around here the Elite II goes for $675-$700.
I will get one eventually, when I have the cash to change the sights.

SWEET! Plus, my preference is to have a safety on my guns rather than decock only.
