Was just checking out this pistol at a local shop. Is it just me.. or is this thing totally AWESOME!~??!~~

I have never held a pistol with such fine craftsmanship. Man... the slide was slick as butter... the hammer cocked easily... trigger felt nice. The nicest Pistol I've ever held. And it looked handsome too... with the stainless slide. Anybody else feel the same? Is it a good buy at $679?? I really want one... but seems like alot of cash... then again... it is a really nice weapon!
 
I agree, I bought one three weeks ago! I paid $719, so $679 sounds even better.


By the way, i bought two Beretta pre-ban hi cap mags at an army surplus store for $4.98 each last week! "They came in a box of junk and we wanted to get rid of them." I obliged and paid cash...

Yes, it is a beautiful piece and I will eventually get one. Can't decide between 9mm or .40 cal. I saw one at an San Francisco, CA. dealer for $749.
 
Yes. The Berreta Elite is a beautiful handgun. I wish I had the money to purchase one. Are these guns limited production?

$679 seems about the norm. I paid $628 but two other quotes I received prior to my purchase were $678 and $679. Didn't get any quotes over $679 other than from a couple of stores in "high end" neigborhoods and of course, The Beretta Gallery in Dallas.

If only I could have found those CHEAP hi-caps!!!
 
I bought mine in 9, because I have too much invested in pre-ban hi-caps. I'm sure I'll get a .40 soon though...I can't resist Berettas. (I'll have to get someone to show me what an autopistol malfunction looks like sometime.)

Well, went ahead and got it! I was trying to decide between this Beretta, and a Glock 17. The Glock just didnt compare to it overall (imo). This Beretta Elite II has to be just the nicest Pistol I've ever held. I've heard reliability is inherent in Berettas as well, so no concern with reliability.
 
I too could not resist the Elite II. I bought one in 40 cal. and paid $715.00 in TN for it.The fit, finnish, and function in mine is excellent. VERY sexy pistol! I have a 92SB and a 92FS. I just couldn't control the urge to have a Beretta in 40 cal. The temptation to buy high caps for the 40 cal. Beretta is not an issue for me since the high cap 40 mags hold 11 rounds and the standard new mags will hold ten. I have seen advertised some kind of after-market mag that will hold 16 rounds of 40 cal. Anyone know about that?
