Beretta cougar in 357 sig!

long shot

New member
On Beretta's website they list a cougar in 357sig, model #8357 F,has anyone seen this pistol or know of a ship date?

When I handled the 8040 at the store,it fit my hand extremly well.

The cougar seems like it could be an excellent platform for the 357 w/ it's
rotating bbl. & it's added weight, 32.6
oz. unloaded.

Also, even though the cougar only has a 3.6
in. bbl.,w/the the 357 sig's velocity it should still perform quite well out of this
pistol.Any comments on the cougar pistols or
help on the 357 sig cougar is appreciated.

Thanks in advance...long shot!

I saw the .357 cougar at the NRA convention. It's exactly like the other cougars just in .357, howver there is a new cougar that is smaller than the fullsize yte bigger than the subcompact caleed the cougar L. It's in 9mm only and holds 12 rounds versus 15 or 10 in the other two models.

Beretta is also working on a 92 series gun in .357sig. right now they are examining a 96 that was modified to .357sig to see how durable it is. The owner of this gun is the moderator of the beretta-L discussion group and the beretta L web site is www.greent.com/beretta

Beretta USA is testing all parts of the gun to make sure they don't crack or break especially the locking block.
