Beretta Bobcat problem

My little Bobcat continues to stick a round up at about a 30 degree angle and hang the nose bwt the slide and the top of the barrel about every 10 or 12 shots. Have tried all brands of ammo I can find. All of them do it.I talked to Beretta tech and he said it sounds like too much mag pressure
which I was already thinking. Any ideas? I'm thinking about clipping the spring down a little but have no idea how much to clip off or even if is a good idea. I can send it to Beretta but at $53 shipping I am hesitant. Any thoughts or ideas. Thanks,
Doug

I use CCI Stingers exclusively in my Bobcat and it runs perfect. I've tried others and the Stingers are the only ones I get 100% cycling/feeding with. I've been seeing them available last couple of times I went to walmart.

I have used stingers more than anything else and they fail to feed about as often as any others. A Mec gar mag should be here next week. Will try that.

I also agree with the new mag, Mecgar makes some good mags and if you clip off to much from the old mag you at least have another to use while waiting for a new spring. How is the feed ramp? Could it need a polish?

Fee ramp is polished good but that really doesn't matter as the bullet nose is sticking up to the top of the barrel and not even touching the ramp.
I won't touch the spring until I find out more about what to do. May get a gunsmith to do it.

Well, I pinched the mag lips down and got'em too much so I spread 'em just a tad and ran 6 rds thru perfectly. May be fixed. Will know when I get back to the range and get to put 50 rds downrange. Can't shoot much more than 1 mag here. Neighbors, you know.

Did you pinch along the whole length, or just at the front? Mine would have a jam like yours if I did not shoot it in a while. Seemed to do better when oiled generously. Looking forward to how your mecgar works.

Went to the range yesterday and put six mags thru it and only had one jam, which I think was probably caused by loading 7 rounds instead of 6. Seems to be essentially fixed. Will know more when my Mec gar mag comes this week.

s3770m--I don't know if I pinched the whole length or not, I just pinched.
Got my new Mec gar mag yesterday and will try it out tonight.

Works perfectly with Mec gar mag as long as I use Stingers. Also with the old mag after I pinched the lips down. With Thunderbolts and even Mini mags I get an occasional failure to pick up one out of the mag. I think the slide probably kicks back harder with the Stingers. Anyhow I will only use Stingers from now on. I'm satisfied now.
