Beretta Billenium

Does anyone know the difference between the Billenium model and the normal 92 ?

Is the Big B really all that it is made out to be ?

Just take a look at the outrageous website (www.thebillennium.com),
you could be forgiven for thinking that the gun is from another world.

Has anyone shot it ? How was it ?

Thanks.

The big difference is the frame mounted safety and steel frame. Other than that you can think of it as a pimped out 92 Inox Brig.

The safety is not a de-cocker...you can carry cocked and locked.
On the other hand, if you lower the hammer by hand, I believe the weapon will act as a traditional DA/SA. A neat design, really.

I don't own one, though, so I could be wrong.

I've got one. here's the rundown.

All steel frame.
Single action only.
Frame mounted safety.
Trigger adjustable for pre-travel and over-travel
Fish scale grooves on slide.
Checkering on frame.
Carbon fiber grips.
Extended checkered mag release.
Adjustable rear sights w/ 3 blades to adjust height of POI.
Stainless gray-smoke finish
Amazing Pride of Ownership.

Mine is out getting a match bar-sto barrel and trigger job from Ernest Langdon.

When it gets back I may marry it in a joyous, non-legally-binding inter-denominational ceremony.

I didn't get past the second page of the noisy website, so I have no opinion on the gun. I do have a big thumbs-down for lousy websites like the one you reference! I'll never be a candidate to buy that gun, simply because I can't stand to spend enough time looking at the website! :)
