Beretta barrel issue

I have owned a PX4 9mm Subcompact for almost a year now. I have ran almost 1000 rounds through it since then, and have had only one miss fire because of a bad round. I really like the pistol all around and have never regretted buying it. Well today I decided to give it a good cleaning and I found a hairline crack running across the rifling near the end of the barrel about a 1/16 in. long. I have never noticed this with any of my guns before and was wondering if it has happened to any of you? What more than likely has caused it? Is it a big concern? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Would it be possible to get a picture? I have not seen or heard of such a problem with that gun.

Well after several attempts I finally captured the crack. Here you go.

It looks like either metal fouling or a defect in the rifling from hammer forging the barrel. Either way, nothing to worry about IMO.

Yeah I just wanna make sure nothing bad can happen from this. I don't like to feel unsafe when it comes to this stuff. Plus I know for a fact it wasn't there before.
