Beretta 96 Mag Mod to Fit Zastava CZ999 40S&W

I read that the Beretta 92 Mags fit the 9mm Zastava's so I figured I would try a 96 mag for the 40S&W model and I it was successful.

Here is a comparison of the mags out of the box side by side:

All the dimensions match up quite well. The only item on the Beretta mag that does not work with the Zastava out of the box is the catch hole. Below you will see the comparison on that side of the mag:

I took a drill and dremel and modified the Beretta Mag to match the factory Zastava mag. Once I added the hole the magazine clicked in properly and everything fit. I am happy with how it turned out. I will buy another one and modify it and on the next one I will lower the catch hole by about 1mm.

The Beretta 92FS mags I modified for Beretta 92s were hardened, and I had to cut the notch with carbide.
