Beretta 950 Ammo Problem

Got a good deal on 500rds of Fed Classic 50gr FMJ 25cal ammo. My Jetfire won't chamber any round of the stuff! It acts like the bullet is a little too long. Anyone else had this problem? Also where is a good source for another 950 Beretta mag? Thanks.

CDNN was always a good source for mags.

I had two BS950 and one needed the ramp polished but I never had a chambering problem.

Did you check the length and diameter of the round?

Tom...

Jetfires are usually very dependable with about anything you stuff in the mag. .25ACP ammo is usually pretty inexpensive. Drop by your local gun shop and buy a different brand of ammo just to try and determine if it's the gun or the ammo. My Jetfire has been completely reliable since day one. Right now it's in my pocket, loaded with Hornady XTP's. It's kinda my "sitting around the house" pistol. I did check the Hornady hollow points against some FMJ stuff and the hollow points are a little shorter, but not by much.

As far as magazines go, I like the MecGar brand. I've got 2 for my Jetfire and they are better than the stock magazine. At least I didn't need to tune the MecGars to get them to work reliably like I did the factory issue mag. They are 12-14 dollars each if you shop around, I got mine from the Ajax Grips people and I think I paid 12.95 each, but that was 2 years ago. Hope this helps.
