Guys, I need some help. I have a Beretta 92S Italian Police buy-back that DOES NOT have the date code stamp (so please do not start flaming me with the date code conversions - I have that). It has a single line roll mark (as opposed to the more customary 2 line roll mark) on the right side of the slide stating "P.B. - MOD.92S - MADE in ITALY - PATENTED". The serial number is U10xxxZ. I understands that the U signifies a police contract and that the Z indicates a pre-1985 manufacture. Does anyone have a reference for serial number blocks sold on specific contracts, or any other detail that might narrow down the date this gun was manufactured? And no, it is not listed in Beretta's database... Thanks guys!
