Beretta 92FS Rear Sights Fell Off

Hey, I love my "Border Marshall"! My trijicon rear sights fell off. So I put some super glue and put them back on. The sights seem to be seated correctly, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm not hitting the bulls eye all the time :D!Since I'm in warranty, do you think Beretta will still honor the warranty and remount the rear sights?

Hello; Don't know the answer to this question; as the factory will be able
to see the super glue residue. In most
cases, I believe this would void the
warranty? Best to you, and let us know
what happens?

Nope,
Your use of Super-Glue just voided the gun's warranty... :o)

That would suck

As in all aspects of life, all they can say is no. The fact of the matter is the trijicons should not have fallen off this early. Acetone will remove the Cyanoacrylate residue and for that matter Isopropyl Alcohol will do it. Send it in.

My experience with the Beretta service department has been uniformly good. I wouldn't hesitate to send in a Beretta that wasn't right for whatever reason.

I don't know about the superglue, though .... ;)

Bereta Service is #1. I took my 92fs to the authorized dealer in Westminister, California,Bolsa Gunsmithing. Not only did they honor the warranty, but remounted the rear sights while I waited(20 minutes). I'm fortunate that I'm only an hour via the freeway from the shop. I wonder if when I was useing Hoppes #9 solvent some could have got on the sight and caused the problem? Any way, I won't be able to use misaligned sights as an excuse for not hitting the bulls eye ;) Thank you all for your "insights"
