Beretta 92fs Concealed carry question

Hello,

Kinda new here and just recently purchased a Beretta 92fs and it was not a easy thing to decide. I choose FS over a CCW (Compact) type because will be in the range 90% of time and CCW the other times. So wanted to know if anyone uses the Beretta as a CCW and what holster do they use?

What I have found is Beretta, Comp-tac, and blackhawk.

I am a big guy so no worries there. Also what position on the belt?

I have the full size 92FS and it carries just like a fullsize 1911 in an El Paso Saddlery Border Boss holster. The El Paso Saddlery website does not list this pistol for the holster, but they do make them for it. Below is the link to a dealer that has the 92FS Border Boss holster by them and he has them in stock. I have this exact holster and I can confirm that it works and is of good quality.

I don't carry that gun. I'm did have a Taurus PT101. IMO, given today's holsters, I would get the Bladetech OWB or a leather pancake.

Take a look at the Galco Combat Master. It works great for full size semiautos. At the same time I suggest that you get a high quality belt designed for carrying a pistol.

I've carried the 92FS in a Raven Phantom with an untucked tshirt at 3:00, and it works quite well - the Raven does an outstanding job pulling the grip in to prevent printing.

I've also had success with similar-sized sigs and leather pancake holsters - probably worth a look if you decide against kydex.

First thanks for all the responses.

And yea it was what I was afraid of, so many options. Will look into each one.

The Beretta is really nice. I rented some different guns but the trigger, the history, and reliability is what did it for me. The only thing is need to find a way to adjust sights. its up and to the left. The other handguns shot was the same.

Ah shoot didn't mention I'm lefthanded. Just noticed it wasn't a option on the "Border Boss" suggested by EIGHTYDUECE.

Welcome to TFL!

Nine times out of ten, if someone is shooting off-center with a handgun at combat distances, it's the shooter and not the handgun. And since it looks like you're saying that the other handguns you shot were also up and to the left, I'd say there's a very good chance your sights are just fine.

It seems many shoot the Beretta 92FS low and to the left. I did when I first got mine. After some practice with it, I now shoot it to point of aim. For some reason they tend to do this with new shooters of the platform.

I used to carry a 92FS before I developed hip problems. Carried it at the 3 o'clock position for 3 years straight... Even in the summer.

Used a comptac holster. They discontinued the Pro Undercover model, but itw as replaced by the infidel model now. Almost the same exact holster.

I still have mine.

What seven high said

I carry a 92 G on a regular basis. Same frame size as your FS and Galco is comfortable You get what you pay for on this one

Theohazard. No arguments there. I'm left-handed with right eye and a beginner. definitely user. I have shot before like 25 years ago but very little. So I'm learning as I'm going. Reading when I can.
