Beretta 92 with adjustable sights?

When I ordered the sights they were about $38 + shipping, then you have to have a gunsmith install them. The whole job was close to $100 out the door. It's worth it to me, my gun originally shot 3" low and to the left at 15 yards and it drove me crazy. It required me to aim 3" high/right which meant my target view was blocked by the muzzle of the gun.

bountyh,

Let me guess....

It was an ELITE II in 9mm!

No, I'm not psychic. Mine did the same thing.

Contacted Beretta and got a lot of BS about trigger control and theory of using open sights.

I might have paid a little more attention if this weren't the 4rth Beretta I have owned and the first one with this problem.

Anyway, no offers on their part to fix the problem.

I'm eventually going to bite the bullet and have adjustable sights put on mine too...

I beleive the trigger control aspect. My 92 shot about a foot low at 25 yards and thoroughly disgusted me. I tried lots of different loads to no avail. I haven't shot the pistol for about 2 years until recently I thought I'd try to polish the sear/hammer. AFter polishing all of the contact points the trigger pull was excellent. The only problem is that it now shoots a bit high for me at 25 yards, but this I can live with as its easier to aim a few inches low than a foot high. I think If I worked on trigger control, I could get it to shoot perfect.

I forgot to mention- I don't think beretta does anyone any favors by putting their Bruniton finish on the hammer and sear peices. All it does is make the pistol difficult to shoot until it gets worn in or polished.

cracked butt: bite your tongue, that fuzzy finish on the sear is putting gunsmith's kids through college by selling action jobs. Once you polish it and put in a "D" spring, the trigger is really clean and light (mine breaks at 3.7#).
