Beretta 9000 series?

Heavy safety. Very difficult for me to put it on safe without changing my grip and removing my left hand.
Didn't feel the trigger had the smoothness of other Beretta's, but this may smooth out with use.
Kind of ugly grips.
A bit thicker than I like for concealment, but no worse than a Glock.

It does use 92/96 magazines, so it a 92/96 is your main pistol this is very convenient. This is the only thing I like about Glocks - you can use the same magazine in your compacts as your duty pistols. For non gun enthusiasts, like some police officers, this is great. Just make sure that the short magazine is loaded when carrying.
The Beretta's are usually accurate, and quality pieces of work.

Short, chunky, very stiff safety lever, difficult to manipulate the slide due to the small area which one can actually grab, heavy and somewhat gritty DA trigger that takes forever to break.

On the plus side, it's a funky-looking design, and it's comfortable to shoot. The 9000S makes a decent CCW gun, if you can live with its shortcomings.

On the other hand, it was styled by Giugiario. If you have an original RWD Isuzu Impulse, you can own a gun and a car penned by the same guy.
