I saw a beretta 70 at a gun shop. The price was $245 + tax.Is this a fair price? Is this gun as good as my ruger mark2? I have heard good things about these guns.Do they still make mags for these guns?Has anyone here shot or owned one of these guns? When did they stop making these guns?Where can i find info on these guns?

Hello,
Many years ago I bought a Beretta 70S in .22 L.R. It is a finely made and dependable pistol. It was also made in .380. I think that they stopped importing it in the 80's when they starting selling the model 84 double stack 13 rnd. pistol. Being single stack and single action the 70S may be outdated but still a nice pistol.

I had one for 3 years.
Extremely reliable & cute too !

A 6" Target barrel is/was available for it.
Mags are still made for it by Pro-Mag.
It was also called a "Jaguar".

They're very well-made pistols of proven design. I used to own one but traded it away for something I thought I needed more at the time. Finding original mags would probably be a matter of getting lucky at a gun show.
