Beretta 391 Help, Snap Cap Stuck...

I just recently bought a Beretta 391 Sporting in 12 Gauge. It's my first shotgun, and in an attempt to familiarize myself with it, I've been practicing loading and unloading with snap caps. Well, one is currently stuck in the magazine and will not come out far enough to extract.

Any ideas? Can I fix this myself? Do I have to go back to the gun shop like an idiot and ask them to have their gunsmith take it out? Am I the only one this sort of thing happens to, or is there some sort of support group?

I'm no smith, nor a Beretta owner, but disassembly and removal from the front of the magazine should work....

Some snap caps, including those clear/red ones, bust pieces off the rims until they don't work any more.

The front end of the magazine in the 390 series Beretta doesn't come off as easily as the Remington or Benellis. It can be done but it's somewhat complicated. If this happened to me I'd be tempted to break the entire rim of the snap cap and get it out that way. Failing that I'd be taking it to a gunsmith.

You can do this...

Wearing eye protection, remove the barrel and forearm by unscrewing and removing the end cap.

The outside/end of the magazine tube has a small catch that you will need to depress with a nail or punch. As you depress this catch, unscrew the end of the magazine (where the end cap screws on) carefully. This is under spring pressure, so proceed slowly.

As the end comes off, the magazine spring and magazine plugs can be removed, along with the magazine follower.

You will need to depress the pin to screw the end of the magazine tube back into the threads. Once it sets deep enough, it will pop back up through the hole where it started.

It's either stuck and depressed all the way and not coming out, or it popped out without my knowing it in the process.
