Beretta 3901, opinions?

Was talking to a guy at the local gun shop and he suggested either the 391 Urika or the 3901. Anybody have an opinion on this? Would be used for skeet and I'm a newbie. I don't know much, and can't really see a difference between the 2 except one comes with a case and the other one doesn't. Not sure if a case is worth the $250 difference.

So I'm leaning towards the 3901, anybody know of any good reasons I should get the Urika instead?

2 things on the 3901:
1 I had one and it was great over the course of 6 months it failed me 2 times. Out of 250 shells a week every week for 6 months do the math thats 6000 shells give or take 750. Great guns i can not stress this enough. Also this was not optimal conditions this was 100 degrees with cleaning about every 1000 rounds the gas system every 250. If you can find a better gun buy it. But for the 450 i paid at wally world you cant beat it.

2. Mine came with a case if im not mistaken the new ones should. Granted mine was made in Italy not America as the new ones are but who knows.

Good LUck and Happy shooting PM me if you have more questions.

buy the one you can afford

there isn't a big difference in the guns mechanically - but there are some differences in terms of the quality of materials in the stocks, etc. depending on the models you are looking at.

Beretta is a good gun - but you might consider borrowing a few different guns or at least shooting some different guns before you buy something. You can shoot skeet with any gun - pump, semi-auto or over under - but the over-under is by far the dominant gun. But it depends on how much you get into the game as well. Every gun club I've ever been to has a number of good used guns for sale by any number of the members. There are some real good deals out there if you can be a little patient.
