Beretta .22 cal inquiry

I am wondering if anyone had any long term experience with the Beretta "Bobcat" model 21. I am trying to find out if the gun has any inherent problems like jamming or parts breakage. I am going to check out a gun that is unfired and was purchased in the late '80s. I am looking for a cheap plinker that I can count on if I have to.
Thanks

I love mine.

Welcome to TFL.

You will hear from people either way on this. My feeling is that if you keep it clean and don't abuse it, it will be a fine little gun that will shoot at least 100 rounds without jamming.

Pretty accurate too, for such a small barrel.

Regards.

I have one I'll sell - approx 150 rounds through it - mint condition -stainless steel - two extra mags.

It functions flawlessly, but the trigger pull is just too stiff for my wife (Carpal tunnel). We bought it new a few months ago.

Send private message if interested.

If you use CCI Mini Mags or CCI Stingers you will not have any feeding problems with it.

thanks for the info, I just fired 70 rounds through the gun (cci stingers) and it jammed on the second magazine. A slight tap on the back of the slide sent it home and it was fine after that. Accuracy was pretty good at close range but you really have to sight it in good. Its not all like my chief or glock and I find I cannot just point and shoot. I must take a little more deliberate aim. I want to try a different barrel for it. FAC offers a "stainless match " barrel for it, but its only 19.95 so what the heck. I guess the gun's worth the $75 he wants!

If you keep it clean it should run fine for 50 to 100 rounds. Mine works great with CCI Mini Mags, but hates Stingers.

The address for FAC is..
8035 Ranchers Road
Fridley, MN 55432

phn 763 780 8780 - FAC has a mix of different things - mostly parts I think, and they advertise in "The Shotgun News" now and then. For the Beretta they also have an extended barrel, but not much else. I plan on getting different types of rounds to really test the gun with the orig barrel before I replace it.
Thanks for all the info!
