Beretta 1201 fp

My buddy talked himself into this shotgun instead of the Es100 Pintail. He wasn't aware the "24 Pintail was for slugs only. He's more interested in home defense and tactical shotguns. His only problem now is that there doesn't appear to be a modular weapon light (Surefire) available for this model. It would seem to me that the 1201 fp would be the ideal model for a tactical light. Does one exist? I've found one on www.Lagger-pro.com for the beretta 1200. Are they interchangeable? If not what are his options? I couldn't find the 1201 fp on beretta's website. Does anyone know how much to pay and if it can be ordered with ghost rings?

Erick, was that with the ghost rings? I found one online on Massachusetts for $725 plus $20 FFL. It had the ghost rings and a tritium front post.

Buddy of mine got one NIB with rifle sights for $450 at a gunshow here in PA.

He will be glad to hear that the 1201FP has a dedicated Surefire Responder now --- the 1200 model will not fit without a bit of work.

All new-manufacture 1201fp's have tritium ghost ring sights.

Older models have rifle sights. Don't let someone talk you into paying 'premium' for the ghost rings.

IIRC, the 1201FP has been DISCONTINUED by Beretta in favor of promoting the Benelli Super90 series(1 in same owner).

FWIW, to mount a tactical light on a 1201, simply drill/tap the aluminum mag tube shroud for a length of Weaver rail and slip an M3 in place.

1201FP ghost rings

I have a 1201FP that came with rifle sights. but I wanted to put ghost rings on it. Went to Benelli site and was wondering if the rings for the M1 Super 90would fit. Emailed Benelli and was informed that the two companies are separate companies and any questions about my Beretta need to be address to Baretta. Anyone here know what ghost ring will fit my 1201FP?
