The 28" barrel on an Ithica mod37 featherwt has somehow been slightly bent at the lug. not alot, but enough to throw the shot off.
Any suggestions on how to staighten??
I left it with a gunsmith 3 months ago but got a call from his wife saying he is having serious health problems and I should pick it up. This was my first shotgun and is over 30 years old. very good shape otherwise.
Thanks for any help.

Kingcreek, while I'm not really recommending this it does work. You can place the barrel between two steps or like objects and carefully bend it back. It might save you a trip or sending it to a smith. George

George,
Thanks. I was thinking of trying to get use of a press. The bend is all lateral to the right and apex at the lug. no wrinkle or distortion of the tube.
The 'smith had mentioned something about boresighting with a laser or something, and aligning the sight rib and beads accordingly with it in a vise?
might be more than I can handle
