Benelli Supernova pump

I purchased a Benelli 12G Supernova pump (26" barrel) with the comfortech stock this past December, but hadn't had a chance to test her until today. Wow.

This is my new favorite gun, hands down. The slide was silky, the weight was perfect, she points like a dream, and recoil was negligible. I only used 2 3/4 shells, but she'll take anything up to 3 1/2. I'm simple not enough of a masochist to try that yet. A friend with a Mossberg 500 fired a few times and promptly declared his intent to buy one for himself.

I cannot stress enough how much I love this gun. I strongly suggest trying one out for yourself.

It is an excellent gun. However, it is known as the "rattletrap" due to the fore end's poor fit. I have a regular Nova and love it.

i agree with everything the 2 previous posts are saying about what i call my urbino undertaker. excellent piece of work.1 thing i do disagree with is the last guys refference to what? rattletrap? do you mean the rattle that is found in regular novas? cause i have both sg's and remember being very happy about the elimination of that shaky, noisy little rattle,i have in my 2005 nova,(but i have a simple little secret on how to eliminate it in a very non invasive manner.)any way ill just say that my 2006 supernova "the urbino undertaker" DOES NOT HAVE ANY RATTLE AT ALL! they are great sg's aint they? i have always wondered how a company like benelli can put out a great gun like the old style nova,with such an annoying fore end rattle?maybe im overstating the rattle found in the previous nova,its not as bad as we make it sound.but my pistol grip SUPERNOVA,no way,they corrected that problem or i would not have bought the sg. i feel its a perfected nova.thats why its the SUPERNOVA...i put a heat shield on mine,its really smooth and scary.

They must've improved things on the Super. My 20ga Nova wasn't a very good shooter. I like the Mossberg a lot better.

What is your secret for eliminating the rattle of the Nova forearm? I tightened the hex screws and got rid of a little of the looseness. I tried velcro strips but never could figure out where to put it. Help!!
