Benelli Nova safety reversible?

Tried a search on this with no success, so I expect it hasn't come up before.

I have a new Benelli Nova "special purpose" miodel with rifle sights. It's handy, lightweight and well made.

Benelli's website mentions that their shotgun safeties are "reversible for left-handed use", but I can't find anyone who's ever done it, nor does the owner's manual mention it.

It's no big deal, but being left-handed, I'd like to reverse the safety to match the setup on my Rem 870, if such can be done on the Benelli. I hesitate to pick apart the trigger module, since the manual says it "shouldn't be disassembled except by a trained gunsmith".

Anyone on the board with any experience in this?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Well, two dozen folks looked, but no one answered.
If it ever comes up again, here's the scoop:

It CAN be reversed.
My gunsmith did it, after I tried to do it myself first, and disassembled the trigger module part way, then couldn't get it back together again.

(I know, dumb, but I'll tinker with anything!)

Works fine. Had him do a trigger job, too, and now that spongy Nova trigger breaks clean with no creep, just like my Rem 870.
Best.
