Anyone have one of these guns? I looked at one today and fell in love with it in the store. Beautiful gun and fits me well. I have heard nothing but good things about benellis and the intertia driven action. Is there anything I should know about these guns before I go buy one tomorrow. It will mainly be used for skeet/sporting clays and upland hunting.

Thanks

Love mine....

I have a 20ga Montefeltro and I love it. I'm sure you'll have a similar story when all is said and done!!

The recoil will be more than an equally good gas gun. If you haven't shot one, you might want to borrow one to make sure it is the one that will work for you.

I have one for years and problem free, zero, nada.
It's excelent shotgun very good ballanced, I love it.
It's 12ga , 28"bbl , 3" chamber.

Its a good solid gun.

Like OneOunce said / since it has a wood stock ( no comfort tech recoil supression system in it) it will give you more recoil than a gas operated gun ( and I think about 30% more ) - so probably similar to a fixed breech gun, like a pump, etc.

I see a few of the Montefeltro's at the gun club - and the guys that have them seem happy with them. I own a Benelli Super Sport, carbon fibre, comfort tech system in it ....it has the same inertia system in it / and its a great gun. The inertia system is easy to clean / easy to take care of.

Thanks for the input. I bought one this morning and I cant wait to go shoot it. I heard that the interia system takes a little out of the recoil or am I wrong? Im not really worried about the recoil anyways, with a shotgun it doesnt bother me at all. Im too focused on hitting the target. It also has a pretty big recoil pad on it. I shot a round of skeet with a benelli years ago, i belive it was a montefeltro, and I loved it. Cant wait to shoot it wednesday and take it out on some pheasants on Thursday-sunday!

The fact that the bolt moves vs a fixed breech gun, like a pump - means it will absorb a little recoil to compress the spring inside the bolt assembly....

but not nearly as much as a synthetic stock Benelli - that has the Comfort Tech system in it - or as a "gas operated" semi-auto...

You've already done it / so I hope you like the gun - and congratulations on a new gun / nice gift to yourself...
