Benelli Montefeltro - slugs?

Well I took the plunge and bought my wife a Benelli Montefeltro .20 gauge today. She looked at several other guns including some over/unders but came back to the Montefeltro because it felt the best for her. It is a youth model so it is somewhat short for me but she really likes it. Now I'll have to take her hunting with it and out to shoot some skeet.

I was wondering if you can shoot slugs in this gun. The salesman said you could but I didn't see anything in the manual about slugs. Not that she will shoot skeet with slugs anytime soon, :), just wondering in case she wanted to take it deer hunting in the future.

Can't wait for a chance to shoot it.

Thanks,

Thanks much. I'm sure the recoil won't be too bad but that is still a ways off. She was initially hesitant about a semi-auto because it was "too hard" to work but after playing with it a bit she said, "is that all there is to it?" and bought it. :)

wow for a dude with the name "SKS" your ballin out with the montefeltro

We have one at the shop...great guns...but dont feel right for me. Bridge is too low...

Lavid2002: :) This is for my wife you know. Actually, we are not really into shotguns, I've got a few single shots but that is all. Some friends have taken us quail hunting and skeet shooting recently and my wife wanted a gun that fit her so she got the Montefeltro. It is too short for me being a youth model but I could use it in a pinch.

I'll try to find a used 1100 or 870 somewhere and pick that up for myself. All of my squirrel and rabbit hunting have been with the single shot or .22 so it hasn't been an issue. Skeet and quail definitely do not lend themselves to a single shot. :)
