Benelli M3

I have a Benelli M1 S90, and have the opportunity to buy an M3 (pistol grip/ghost rings). Anyone have experience with the M3 specifically? Any ideas on a fair price for a used but excellent condition M3? Thanks as usual. (I have an 1187 and 870 as well, and like all three)
 
I borrowed someone's at a 2-gun match. The pump mode felt heavy but it's kinda neat having it, knowing it's there if you need it so you don't need to reach for that bolt release if it malfunctions.

If it had a Surefire foreend for it, I'd have one by now.
 
I love my M3. Is the M3 you're looking at a preban (PG + mag extension)? I've seen those go for upwards of 1k so I'd consider anything around there or lower a good deal (of course, that's just my experience/observation). If it has PG but no mag extension, I've seen those new for $700. In semi-mode, it feels like an M1. I love the pump mode also. It's just different and seeing that you already have an M1, you're probably looking for something different too.

Last time I used my M3 was at a plate shoot. It had problems shooting light target loads in semi (FTE). Just switched over to pump the rest of the time. To compare, I had also brought my 1187 and it fed fine with the same loads. I still do like the M3 but the 1187 is constanly impressing me.

After reading Patrick Kelley's comparison on Winchester's website, I'm considering the Super X2 next.
