benelli m3 super 90

i already did a search and already posted this on the benelii forum and have come up with nothing. i am trying to find a benelli m3 super 90. the local gun shop say they can order one with a pistol grip (and full stock), but the magazine extension has to be bought and put on seperately. this doesnt seem to make sense because remington sells the 870pmax with pistolgrip and extended mag. with no problem... can anybody explain this (im in cali by the way).
since benelli has taken the information about the m3 super 90 off the website, i dont know too much about it like if it uses chokes or not (i heard the m1014s dont but the m4s do) or if it uses the inertia recoil system...any info on that would be great too.
ive been an 870 guy for a while and i dont really like the idea of a semi only shotgun, but does anybody reccomend the m4 or the m1014 over the m3 super 90 hands down?

I believe that the Benelli M3 Super90 is a pump-auto. Better open your wallet or checkbook wide for this shotty ;)
 
is it just me or is the m3 super 90 something nobody talks about. benellis website forums havent turned up **** on my thread there and they always take forever to return emails...whats up?
 
Beretta imports Benelli's ???? I don't think so, though the Beretta 1200 was a Benelli and Beretta apparently owns part of Benelli.
 
well im going to post the information i have gathered in case anybody else ends up wanting to know what i did.

the difference between the pre bans and post bans is the pre bans can hold and extra round in the feeding tray. so if you have an m3 with the 2 shot extension, you have 6 in the mag, 1 in chamber and 1 in feed tray.

super 90 doesnt mean anything special. an m3 is an m3.

they come with modified chokes according to benelli. i didnt think modified chokes could fire slugs, but apperently i was wrong.

Pretty much collector's items nowadays... I have an older H&K imported M3 and it's really nice. Info is pretty hard to come by, not sure why. The M3 is primarily a semi-auto, and the pump feature is for very low recoil speciality rounds. I have to mention that mine functions flawlessly in the semi-auto mode with the low-recoil tactical loads. Standard shotgun stock or pistol grip where the normal option, but there was a folding stock model out until the early 1990s- the M3T. Rifle sights or ghost rings where also offered.

The M3 was the realistic answer to a pump/auto combo questions that the SPAS-12 raised. The M3 was a heck of alot lighter and handled like a regular shotgun.

Not sure what year that H&K switched over to Fabram shotguns and/or Beretta acquired the rights to imports Bennellis.

Some of the asscessory parts are interchangeable/compatible.
You can mount a Sidearmor or GG&G generic light rail that would fit most shotguns. I haven't seen Surefire make a dedicated foreend, and I'm not holding my breath! I mounted a side-saddle on mine by modding a M1 model. I had to move it father back (otherwise the forearm will smack into it as you try to rack a new round in.) and drill a new hole in the plate, but it works. Also, Brownells carries spare parts for the Benellis in the back of their catalog. I had nightsights on mine for a while, then switched back to stock.

well heres the last info ive gotten,
i called benelli and asked a ****load of questions

basically they no longer use the term super 90 ,the model im interested in is now called simply the 'm3 convertable'

it is semi/pump, comes with 19.75 inch barrel, comes with multiple chokes

i want to get it with pistolgrip and full stock with a 2 round extension, and regular rifle sights

the only thing i do not know is if the m3 convertable uses the inertia recoil system when on semi.

how do you all like your m3 convertable/m3 super 90?
